Moyes Is Ready to Spend BUT Carefully !!!

David Moyes admits he would like to strengthen his Manchester United squad in January, but only if the right players become available.

"Only if the right players are available," he said. "They have to be able to fit into our squad. We would like to but there are no guarantees."

Moyes attempted to prise left-back Leighton Baines out of Goodison Park without success and his successor as Everton manager, Roberto Martinez, has already said another attempt would be pointless.
"If they are determined to hold on to him then he can't be going anywhere," said Moyes.
Moyes was giving little away over Nemanja Vidic and Robin van Persie, who both missed the 5-0 win at Bayer Leverkusen in midweek, stating: "They have got a chance."

However, with Wayne Rooney in superb form, the Scot does believe he has an attack to rival any in the Premier League.

"I have been asked this a lot because there are quite a few strike partnerships in the Premier League," he said.
"There are some very good center forwards.
"As you would expect, we have got a partnership that can rival any other partnership."

Andre Villas-Boas men had a trip to northern Norway for their Europa League encounter with Tromso, now may be a good time for the Red Devils to catch the north London outfit.
Yet Moyes is wary of reading too much into recent results.
"It can vary," he said. "We know that no matter when you play Tottenham Hotspur, it will always be a hard game.
"The games against Manchester United have been good. It is one of these things, we are both coming off the back of European games as well."
"But we will go down there and try to win the game, as we always do."

CANADA LET NSA SPY ON G20 SUMMIT

CANADA allowed US NSA to conduct widespread surveillance during the 2010 Group of 20 Summit in Toronto, according to a CBC report that cited documents from former NSA contractor Edward Snowden.

The report by CBC news late on Wednesday cited briefing notes it said showed the United States turned its Ottawa embassy it to a security command post during a six day spying operation by the top-secret US Agency  as President Barack Obama and other world leaders met that June.

Reuters hasn't seen the documents and thus can not comment on the authencity of the same.

The report said the operation was no secret to Canadian authorities, with an NSA briefing note describing the operation as "closely coordinated with the Canadian partner." The Canadian equivalent of the NSA is the CSEC.

The CBC report said the documents did not reveal the precise targets of the NSA operation, but described part of the US eavesdropping agency's mandate at the Toronto summit as "providing support to policymakers." A spokesman for Canadian PM Stephen Harper declined to comment on the allegations in the CBC report.

"We do no comment on operational matters related to national security. Our security organizations have independent oversight mechanisms to ensure that they fulfill their mandate in accordance with the law," Jason MacDonald said in an email.

Harper had earlier come under fire from opposition politicians last month after a report by a Brazilian Broadcaster alleged CSEC spied on a Brazilian government ministry. That report strained ties with Brazil.
